Tenuta Torciano @ Monaco Yacht Show 2018

After being present at the last Monaco Grand Prix last May 26, Tenuta Torciano is back in Monaco for the 3rd edition of the Monaco Yacht Show, one of the most important annual exhibitions to discover the fascinating world of Superyachts. The event, which took place in the iconic setting of the Port Hercules in Monaco, saw Yacht owners, future superyacht purchasers or charterers, decision-makers in the yachting and luxury industries attend the Monaco Yacht Show to celebrate the quintessence of the superyacht lifestyle. Every year, 120 extraordinary one-off superyachts are on display, of which 40 new launches are unveiled in a worldwide debut.

Just on board one of these, the SOLO Yacht of Tankoa Yachts – made in Italy – and Northrop & Johnson, Tenuta Torciano had the honor of participating as an official sponsor at the opening aperitif of this luxury boat (over 70 meters lenght) to experience the hospitality, meet the crew and bring a corner of Italy with the best wines in the collection.

During the wonderful evening Pierluigi Giachi, together his son Emanuele, presented the best labels of the company in front of numerous guests, including brokers and possible buyers of Yachts, accompanying the magnificent dishes of the starred Italian chef Gionata Rossi.

But the main objective, in addition to tasting the appreciated Brunello Gioiello Riserva, Bolgheri Gioiello, Terrestre Super Tuscan, Bartolomeo, Cavaliere, Baldassarre, Vernaccia di San Gimignano and the sparkling Rosè Torciano, was the presentation of the two exclusive services recently launched by the company: Private Wine Tasting on board the Superyachts and the Helicopter Pick Up for a Full Day immersed in the green of Tenuta Torciano San Gimignano with return directly on Yacht or at the nearest Heliport.

1. The “Helicopter Wine Tour” service will allow all the people who want to discover Tuscany and the beauties of this wonderful region thanks to a Helicopter flight that will leave directly from the Yacht. Flying over the surrounding hills guests will be able to see from the sky the Chianti vineyards, the medieval villages like San Gimignano, Certaldo, Monteriggioni, until discovering the city of Florence along with its historical monuments. For lunch they will be taken to the Tenuta Torciano winery in San Gimignano where they will have the pleasure of enjoying a delicious lunch in the vineyard, or in one of the Tenuta’s scenic rooms, together with a vertical wine tasting of the best wines and special reserves of the company.
   A perfect experience for couples, families, friends, romantic getaways and really special occasions during an open sea holiday, which will end with a return flight always on Yacht or the nearest Heliport.
2. The “Wine School Experience on Private Yachts” service, will allow our guests to participate in an exclusive tasting on board their Yacht or Superyacht thanks to the Tenuta Torciano Wine School. Developed by Pierluigi Giachi, a winemaker for over 13 generations, it represents a singular view of wine education. Tenuta Torciano is a premiere Wine School Winery that organize Wine Events all over the world for Private Customers, Clubs and Luxury Hotel. This year we decided to share our experience by organizing tailor-made private events directly on your Yacht.
   Our business model allow us to organize the Wine Event directly on the boat. The Wine School will let you experience each of the hallmarks: dispelling industry rumors, banishing popular wine myths, and delivering information in an easy-to-understand manner. A passion for wine education, exceptional people skills, and extensive wine knowledge are the hallmarks of our sommelier-instructors. The event will last about 2 hours and participants will taste 10 different prestigious wines along with the best wine-food pairing, for a relaxing, joyful and fun experience with the Torciano staff.

Our goal is to make people discover the world of wine and Tuscan traditions when they are on holiday on their yachts, in the middle of the sea, with private Wine Tastings on board or for an exciting experience in the cellar. Moreover, also by helicopter, we can quickly reach seaside resorts such as Elba Island, Portofino, Portocervo, Montecarlo, Amalfi and many other customized routes.
