Over the weekend of Saturday 10th and Sunday 11th May, one of the most important dates in Italian wine returned: the International Auction of Barolo, held in the beautiful setting of the Castle of Barolo Faletti in Cuneo, with wine lovers and collectors in the room and live video links to Dubai, Singapore and Hong Kong.
Behind the auction
The Academy of Barolo
The auction is the highlight of the Academy of Barolo, the association bringing together twelve of the most prestigious Barolo producers: Azelia, Cordero di Montezemolo, Damilano, Franco M. Martinetti, Luciano Sandrone, Michele Chiarlo, Paolo Scavino, Poderi Gianni Gagliardo, Poderi Luigi Einaudi, Pio Cesare, Prunotto and Vietti. This year marks its fifteenth edition.
Barolo is considered the king of wines, prized abroad as a jewel of Made in Italy: 90% of it is drunk by foreigners.
Italian red wine is loved the world over. Choose your favorite and enjoy it with friends and family.
