Data
What we collect
- Browsing data. The server records IP address, date and time, requested page and browser type. This keeps the site running, protects it from abuse and tells us which articles are read. Legal basis: legitimate interest (art. 6.1.f GDPR). Logs are kept only as long as technically needed, then deleted.
- Emails you send us. If you write to us we process your address, name and message in order to reply (art. 6.1.b GDPR). Correspondence is kept for as long as the request and legal obligations require.
- No sign-up. The magazine has no accounts, comments, newsletter or forms: we ask for nothing in order to let you read.
Cookies
Cookies and local storage
The site uses technical tools only:
torciano_consent, a first-party cookie kept for 180 days (mirrored in local storage astorciano-consent), remembers your choice on the banner so we do not ask again; the choice itself is recorded on our server as an anonymised proof (hashed IP, date, categories) for 180 days;- a session cookie for the editorial area, created only when a member of staff signs in;
- display preferences saved in the browser for people working in the admin area.
Measurement and marketing. No analytics or advertising tag is currently active. If any is enabled in the future (Google Analytics 4, Google Tag Manager, Google Ads, Meta Pixel) it will load only after your explicit consent: the site runs Google Consent Mode with every category denied by default and shows a banner with "Accept" and "Decline". You can change your mind at any time with the "Cookie settings" link in the footer, or by clearing this site's data in your browser. Details in the Cookie policy.
Third-party content. Some articles embed videos from YouTube: when you start a video, Google may process data under its own policy. Images, fonts and scripts of the magazine are served from our own domain, with no external content delivery networks.
Recipients
Who else sees the data

Any transfer outside the European Economic Area happens only with the safeguards of arts. 44-49 GDPR. Data may be disclosed to judicial authorities where the law requires it.
Rights
What you can ask us
You have the right to access your data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to processing, and receive it in a readable format (arts. 15-22 GDPR). Write to booking@torciano.com and we will reply within thirty days. If you believe the processing breaches the Regulation, you may complain to the Italian Data Protection Authority (garanteprivacy.it).
