Tenuta Torciano Wine Dinner @ Diamond Run Golf Club

Tenuta Torciano Winery EVENTS among the most exclusive clubs in the United States continues. This time it was the turn of the Diamond Run Golf Club of Pittsurgh where Pierluigi Giachi and his staff had the pleasure of presenting the entire collection of wines and products of the estate in front of about 35 members of the prestigious Club.

An Italian Wine Dinner lovely cared by the Chef who, in addition to the Tuscan appetizer platters, served a 4-course dinner for a perfect wine/food pairing. After the welcome aperitif on the club’s Green with our Prosecco Millesimato Extra Dry, they have been served together with the dishes: Vernaccia di San Gimignano, Chianti, Chianti Classico, Brunello di Montalcino, Baldassarre Tuscan Blend, Cavaliere Tuscan Blend, Bartolomeo Tuscan Blend, Terrestre Super Tuscan, and Vin Beato Dessert Wine. The dishes were seasoned with our Gourmet Products: Extra Virgin Olive Oil, the Selected Balsamic Vinegar, and the aromatic Truffle and Hot Pepper Oils. During the dinner Pierluigi explained to the guests all the tasting techniques, the etiquette of the glass and the best combinations between the proposed wines and the dishes tasted together. Everything ended well with our Dessert Wine accompanied by a delicious selection of cookies kindly offered by the Diamond Run Golf Club.

History

Nestled in the lush green landscape of Sewickley, Pennsylvania, Diamond Run Golf Club is a haven for golfers. According to PGA legend and course designer Gary Player, the golf course at Diamond Run is outstanding for several reasons, including its beautiful views, rolling fairways and capability to challenge both the amateur and the seasoned golfer. The course’s appeal to a wide range of golfers is due in part to the five sets of tees used to vary distance and angle to the green.  Additionally, many of the tees are elevated from the fairway to give players confidence with distance.  However, when the tees are placed at the black championship markers and the rough is grown out a little bit, the course at Diamond Run presents a stiff challenge for even the most experienced golfer.
