Thank you to the friends who wrote a lovely trip report about their day at Tenuta Torciano Winery. Here is what they saw, in their own words.
Chianti wine country scenes on our way to lunch…

…at nearby Tenuta Torciano, where third-generation owner Pierluigi was our host for a wonderful, over-the-top ten-wine olive and truffle oil tasting. We were invited to share lunch with a lovely couple from Baton Rouge, celebrating their 35th wedding anniversary. With the wine flowing, we made new best friends and promised to meet again for home-cooked Cajun food in Louisiana.
Pierluigi worked the crowd — a little corny, maybe, but the wine was excellent and he has this down to a science. He keeps a warehouse in Chicago that ships his wines anywhere in the US except Utah, and each winter he takes his "show" on the road, hosting a wine-tasting meal at your home anywhere in the world. He charges nothing upfront, but with guests in good spirits, he makes his profit by selling plenty of bottles along the way. His Tenuta Torciano blog has more.
Thank you, and we hope to see you soon!
