While we wait for the next season of the Wine School in America by Tenuta Torciano, it is always a pleasure to read what our guests write about the events we have just held in the United States.

A tasting party on the new terrace

Our friend Jennifer wrote about us on Classic Style Home, the website she runs, after the great success of the "new terrace" wine tasting party with Chiara and our Wine School.

Jennifer had visited the estate with her husband the previous summer. For her own party she built a real wine showcase on her new terrace: a tasting by the pool, framed by cypress trees, that brought a little Tuscan magic home for an evening out of the ordinary. It worked — her guests tasted many wines, and thanks to the wine & food pairing and the evening's careful organization, they felt, just for one night, right in the middle of Italy.

Thank you

To every friend hosting a Wine School

Thank you to all the friends across the United States who have organized, or are planning, a Wine School with us. It is a real honor for my family, my staff and me to step into your home and bring a piece of Italy with our wines and oils. Every wine class is a chance to share our passion for wine and Italy with all of you.

What we pour

The wines and flavors of the tasting

We always start with a white wine, the Vernaccia di San Gimignano: straw yellow turning to gold with age, with a fine, fresh and fruity bouquet, and a delicate flavor with a characteristic bitterish finish.

Then it is time for the red wines: first a young Chianti, then the more aged Chianti Classico. We continue with our Rosso Toscana line — Baldassarre, Cavaliere and Bartolomeo — and of course our Brunello di Montalcino. Do not miss our cold-pressed extra virgin olive oil, truffle oil and gold reserve balsamic vinegar.
