Over the weekend just gone, Saturday 10th and Sunday 11th May, we have seen a very important event: “The international Auction of Barolo“.
The event was held in the beautiful setting of the Castle of Barolo Faletti at Cuneo, with plenty of wine lovers and collectors present in the room and live video from Dubai, Singapore and Hong Kong.
The Barolo Auction, highlight the activities organized by the Academy of Barolo, the association that brings together twelve of the most prestigious manufacturers of Barolo (Azelia, Cordero di Montezemolo, Damilano, Franco M. Martinetti, Luciano Sandrone, Michele Chiarlo, Paolo Scavino, Poderi Gianni Gagliardo, Poderi Luigi Einaudi, Pio Cesare, Prunotto e Vietti), comes this year to the fifteenth edition.
Barolo is considered the “king of wines” and is very much appreciated abroad, is a jewel of Made in Italy and is consumed by 90% by foreigners.
